Julian Norfleet is entering his seventh professional season after playing with Kaposvari in the Hungary A Division.
At 6’2, 165lb, Julian is a dual threat guard who is able to score and facilitate. He is an all-around stat-stuffer, has excellent shooting touch and is a great on-ball defender. Julian has played his previous four seasons throughout Hungary after playing his first two seasons in Bulgaria and Switzerland respectively.
Julian had a solid 2019-2020 campaign for Kaposvari, showcasing his playmaking skills and shooting touch. Playing 31 minutes per game, Julian averaged 16.5 points per game along with 3.5 assists. In doing so, Julian shot 44.5% from two-point range, 38.2% from long distance and 78.5% from the free throw line. Julian has averaged double digits each year of his career with his best season coming with Kaposvari this previous year.
Julian played his collegiate ball at Mount St. Mary’s in Emmitsburg, Virginia where he started 122 out of his 126 career games. He averaged double digits in scoring his sophomore through senior years with his best season coming in his senior year. During the 2013 - 2014 campaign, Julian averaged 17.15 points per game while shooting 45.2% from the field in addition to 34.6% from the three-point line. He also averaged 5.48 assists and 1.58 steals per game. It was during that season that Julian led the Mountaineers to a Northeastern Conference (NEC) tournament championship, earning himself spots on the All-NEC 2nd team, NEC All-Tournament Team and the NABC Division I All-Star District 18 1st Team.
Julian has continued to help lead his teams to success as he has made the playoffs in all but one of his professional seasons (2019).
Julian, son of Darryl and Rhonda Norfleet is from Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has a brother named Brandon. Julian attended Landstown High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. During his senior year, Julian averaged 15 points, four assists, four rebounds and four steals per game. He won Beach District Player of the Year honors while leading Landstown to a 22-5 record and the Beach District regular season and tournament titles. He was also named Second Team All-Tidewater by the Virginia Pilot and All-Eastern Region.
Julian graduated from Mount St. Mary’s in 2014.
